Residents of Denmark and Lithuania who currently residing in these countries may apply for e-visa with the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen through https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ . Proof of residency are required. Important message: Due to the high number of application recieved during the holiday season, the processing time for all types the visa is between 15 - 25 working days. Those currently residing in other countries should contact the Royal Thai Embassy in their respective countries. Nationals of Denmark and Lithuania who are currently traveling in Thailand cannot apply for e-visa with the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen through https://www.thaievisa.go.th/. They must contact the Thai Immigration Bureau for visa matters. Nationals of Denmark and Lithuania who are currently traveling in other countries and wish to travel to Thailand cannot apply for e-visa with the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen. They may either enter Thailand under 30-day tourist visa exemption scheme or contact the Royal Thai Embassy in the countries they are traveling in if they wish to stay in Thailand for longer than the tourist visa exemption scheme allowed. If they wish to apply with the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen, those nationals of Denmark and Lithuania must first return to their respective countries, i.e. Denmark and Lithuania, before applying. |

NON-O (retirement)
Non-Immigramt O : Retirement (pensioner aged 50 or above with state/private pension who wishes to stay in Thailand for no longer than 90 days) The applicant must be over the age of 50 and retired. Those who are above 50 but have not yet retired can not apply for this type of visa; they are advised to apply for the O-A visa, instead. Purpose of Visit This type of visa may be issued to applicants who are over 50 years of age and over and wish to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 10 years without the intention of working. Holder of this type of visa is allowed to stay in Thailand for 5 years each time with the possibility of an extension of up to 5 years at the Royal Thai Immigration Bureau (total 10 years). Qualifications of an applicant:
Validity of Visa: Multiple entries with the validity of visa of 5 years Period of Stay: Travelers with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of 5 years each time with the possibility of an extension of up to 5 years at the Royal Thai Immigration Bureau (total 10 years).

NON-B
1. For the purpose of attending a conference, meetings and visiting business partnersApplicants who wish to travel to Thailand for a business purpose such as attending a conference should apply for Non-Immigrant B visa and only a single entry is granted at a time.
2. For the purpose of working in Thailand If you have been given a job offer in Thailand or the company you are currently employed is transferring you to their sister company in Thailand, it is necessary that you apply for a single entry Non-Immigrant B visa before entering the Kingdom. This visa allows the applicant to stay and work in Thailand for 90 days. During the stay, the applicant must contact the Thai Immigration Service within 30 days after arrival and apply for an extension of the stay permit. The applicant must also obtain a work permit at the Ministry of Labour.
3. For spouse and/or childrenNOTE: Should the applicant wish to relocate to Thailand with their spouse and/or children, the accompanying family members need to apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa. Non-ED
1. For the purpose of studying in ThailandApplicants are to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED visa if traveling to Thailand for the following educational purposes;
Applicants have to apply non immigrant visa, which is when entering Thailand, the Immigration officer at the entry point will grant a 90-day stay. This is an initial period of stay for this type of visa. For an extension of stay beyond 90 days, application must be made at the Immigration Bureau in Thailand.
2. For the purpose of internshipIn order to complete a Bachelor or a Master's degree in Denmark, it is common that students are required to complete an internship at a company, hospital, NGOs and other organizations and a lot of internships usually take place overseas. When a student is accepted an internship in Thailand, she/he needs to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED visa.
Remark Taking Thai boxing courses or diving lessons and other activities will not be considered as education but mere hobby, hence tourist visa is eligible.

Non-Immigrant O for Voluntary Work
Non/Immigrant O : Voluntary work with NGO/Charity/Association (without salary) Applicants who wish to conduct a voluntary work in Thailand can only apply for a single entry Non-Immigrant O visa which allows him/her to stay in Thailand for 90 days. Should the work period exceed 90 days, applicants must contact the Thai Immigration Service and apply for an extension of the stay permit. Required Documents

SMART VISA
The SMART Visa, which will come into effect on 1 February 2018, will encourage foreign talents and investors to invest in the 10 targeted industries of Thailand. It is hoped that it will enhance knowledge transfer and increase the competitiveness of Thailand in the global economy.
The SMART Visa is a new type of visa specially designed to encourage highly-skilled professionals and talents to work or invest in the 10 targeted S-Curve industries, namely (1) next-generation automotive, (2) smart electronics, (3) affluent, medical and wellness tourism, (4) agriculture and biotechnology, (5) food for the future, (6) robotics, (7) aviation and logistics, (8) biofuels and biochemicals, (9) digital, and (10) medical hub.
The four categories of people who are eligible to apply for SMART Visa are(1) Talent (2) Investor (3) Executive (4) Startup and (5) Others (i.e. legal dependents, namely spouse and children, if any). The SMART Visa provides more benefits and privileges than any other types of visa. These benefits include:(1) Visa validity up to 4 years (instead of the usual 1 year)
(2) No requirement of work permit
(3) Extension of reporting of stay to Immigration Bureau – from every 90-day to every year
(4) The right of legal dependents (spouse and children) of the SMART Visa holder to live and work in Thailand equivalent to SMART visa holder (only SMART T type allows dependents of SMART Visa holder to work in Thailand).
