On 26 April 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen welcomed teachers, officials and students of the National Defence College of Thailand (NDC), Class 66, led by General Nakrob Boonbuathong, Senior Adviser, National Defence Studies Institute, who led a delegation of 32 people to study visit in Denmark.
The delegation visited the Center for Energy Resources Engineering (CERE) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Professor Nicolas von Solms, an expert in chemical engineering, and Professor Wolff-Ragnar Kiefer, an energy expert, welcomed and gave a briefing about CERE, a large research institute in the field of carbon storage, capture, transport and utilisation (CCSTU), and led the group to visit research rooms and CO2 analysis laboratory that conduct research on reducing carbon emissions in the atmosphere.
The delegation also visited the Danish Shipping (Danske Rederier), an organization for Danish shipping industry with more than 100 shipping and offshore companies. Ms. Nina Porst, executive director for climate, environment and security, welcomed and gave a briefing about the organization which focused on standardizing and accelerating the green transition process in maritime transport.
Afterwards, Mr. Puwit Wisartsakul, Deputy Head of Mission/ Counsellor, and Mr. Jaya Patrachai, Counsellor, welcomed the delegation and gave a briefing on the overview of Denmark as well as relationship between Thailand and Denmark in various dimensions.
