On 19 September 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, chaired the meeting of Team Thailand of the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen at the Thai Residence. The meeting was attended by Director of Customs Affairs Office in Brussels, Director of Higher Education and Science Office in Brussels, Director of Industrial Affairs Office in Vienna, Director of Commercial Affairs Office in Copenhagen, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Office in Stockholm, and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy.
The Team discussed and exchanged views on ways to promote cooperation between Thailand and Denmark as well as Thailand and Lithuania in various fields. They acknowledged accomplisment of missions carrying out by each agency in the fiscal year of 2024 as well as plans, projects and ways to streamline cooperation between agencie in the fiscal year of 2025 to further enhance bilateral relations with Denmark and Lithuania. After the meeting, the Ambassador hosted lunch for the Team Thailand.
Afterwards, the Embassy led the Team Thailand participants to study visit at the State of Green, a leading Danish public-private partnership organization that plays a key role in promoting and supporting innovation for sustainability. Mr. Magnus Højberg Mernild, Head of PR & Communications, welcomed the Team and gave a briefing on Denmark’s green transition and growth in economy.
Moreover, the Team also visited the National Museum of Denmark, the largest historical and cultural museum in Copenhagen, where Mr. Jesper Kurt-Nielsen, curator, and Mr. Andreas Tholstrup, a Viking expert, led a tour of the exhibition on the history of Viking culture in Denmark, and the permanent exhibition of Thai artifacts in the museum.
