On 21 September 2024, Mr. Teerakarn Savetsila, Consul, attended the opening ceremony of “Thai Kultur Festival” in Aalborg organized by Thai-Aalborg Association. Mr. Lasse Fremand Jensen, Mayou of Aalborg Municipality, was invited to preside over the ceremony and gave an opening remark. He highlighted the diverse international community in Aalborg which included many Thai nationals, complimented the beauty, and the unique culture of Thailand that he and his family had experienced as tourists, and congratulated the Association on the successful event. In this occasion, the Consul delivered a short speech in which he praised members of the Thai community on successfully hosting the event to promote Thai culture, as well as reiterated the important role of the Thai community as a representative to introduce Thai food, Thai culture, and the unique identity of Thailand to Danish people.
After the ceremony was concluded, the Consul discussed with Mr. Jensen regarding the general information of Thais who resided in Aalborg and Denmark, and shared their positive contributions to the Danish society. Additionally, he urged the Aalborg Municipality to provide continuing support to the local Thai community.
Thai Kultur Festival was organized to promote Thai culture through Thai arts and crafts, Thai food, Thai goods, Thai traditional performances, as well as a series of music and dance performances by young Thai artists from Moradokmai Theatre Community, under the guidance of Headmaster Janaprakul Chandruang or “Kru Chang”, a Thai national artist.
