On 2 July 2024, H.E.Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark hosted a dinner for Dr. Opart Karnkawinpong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, and a group of 46 participants from the Civil Service Executive Development Programme, Ministry of Public Health of Thailand at Thai Ambassador's residence on the occasion of the delegation's study visit to Denmark regarding public health system, policy and innovation during 1 - 2 July 2024. Her Excellency The Ambassador welcomed the delegation and gave an overview about Denmark as well as relationship between Thailand and Denmark in various dimensions, including cooperation in public health.
On 1 July 2024, the delegation met with Danish representatives at the Digital Hub Denmark. Mrs. Dorte Bech Vizard, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Danish Ministry of Interior and Health welcomed the delegation and gave an overview of the Danish public health’s mission and the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in using technology and innovation for public healthcare. In addition, the executives from Healthcare Denmark, Digital Hub Denmark, as well as representatives from Coloplast, a medical device manufacturer, and Novo Nordisk, a leading Danish pharmaceutical company, also attended the meeting and discussed with the delegation. Later on, the delegation visited Bispebjerg hospital, a public hospital in Copenhagen. Mr. Kristian Antonsen, CEO, welcomed and gave a briefing of the hospital’s history while Mr. Brian Holch Kristensen, Chief Innovation Officer, gave a lecture on the use of innovation in the hospital, such as the use of robots to facilitate patients care.
