On 24 August 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, presided over the opening of Lyngby Thai Festival, organized for the first time in Lyngby at Johannes Fogs Plads by Lyngby Thaiboxing and the Thai community in Denmark. The Ambassador thanked the organizers for promoting Thailand through Thai food, Thai dance and Thai boxing. The festival can help foster culture relations between the people of the two countries. The Ambassador also invited the people of Lyngby to visit Thailand which continues to be the number one tourist destination outside of Europe for the Danes.
