The Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen organized a project to invite Ms. Indrė Balčiūnaitė, Head of Global Partnerships Unit, Innovation Agency Lithuania, to visit Thailand and give a presentation on “Strengthening National Innovation Ecosystem – The Case of Lithuania” at the 15th Anniversary of the Establishment of Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (NIA) event on 2 September 2024. She also met with Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng, Executive Director of NIA, to discuss ways to promote cooperation between the Innovation Agency of both sides.
In addition, on 3 September 2024, the Embassy also arranged for Ms. Balčiūnaitė to meet with Ms. Kasama Kongsmak, Executive Vice President, Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) at Thailand Digital Valley (TDV) within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), Chonburi, to learn about Thailand's investment promotion policy in the Digital Valley. Furthermore, on 4 September 2024, she also met with Mr. Chonladet Khemarattana, President of Thai Fintech Association, to exchange view on the development of the digital economy and financial technology. The project aimed for the Lithuanian side to see the potential of Thailand in time that Lithuania is looking to expand business opportunities in the Indo-Pacific region and to promote cooperation especially in the digital and fintech areas which would be beneficial to both countries.
