On 20 August 2022 , Her Excellency Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark and Mr. Mads Kähler Host, the Museum’s Director, co-hosted a Thai dinner prepared by a Thai chef of the Ambassador's residence, at the Moesgaard Museum in Aarhus for the Museum's executives and distinguished guests. Mr. Terje Vammen, Chairman of the Aarhus Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Claus T. Bech, Executive Director of the Aarhus Tourism Association, Mr. Peder Jørgensen, Missionary Emeritus as well as representatives from Sawasdee Thai Dansk Forening and Thai Heritage Group-Aarhus were among the guests attending the dinner.
 
Her Excellency the Ambassador expressed her gratitude to the Moesgaard Museum executives for contributing to the museum location for hosting the Thai Festival 2022 at Thai House at Moesgaard on 21 August 2022, and welcomed the close cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and the Museum in organizing cultural events that strengthen people-to-people relations of the two countries.
 
On this occasion, Dr. Phathorn Srikaranonda, a Thai jazz musician and leader of the Pathorn Srikaranonda Quartet who came to perform at the Thai festival and at the Snake City Jazz Festival in Slangerup, also played a solo saxophone with songs composed by His Majesty King Rama IX for the guests at the dinner.
