On 17 March 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen organized the fourth session of Thai cooking class for members of the Ambassadors’ Spouse Group (ASG) in Denmark at the Thai Residence. The class received close attention by 13 participants from Argentina, Pakistan, USA, Romania, Türkiye, the Netherlands, Iceland, Philippines, Egypt, Greece, China, Bangladesh and Indonesia. Ms. Supranee Sathes, Ambassador’s chef, demonstrated to the participants how to cook “Gaeng Phed Ped Yang” or grilled duck in red curry. After the demonstration, the participants were divided into 3 groups to compete in making Gaeng Phed Ped Yang. After the contest, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, and Mr. Theerakun Niyom, her spouse, hosted a luncheon for members of the ASG along with awarding prizes to the competition’s winners and presenting red curry pastes as well as cooking recipes and Thai cooking books to all the attendees as tokens.
