On 21 January 2025, Mr. Puwit Wisartsakul, Chargé d'Affaires a.i., together with Mrs. Apijaya Wisartsakul, his spouse, led officials and spouse as well as staff members of the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen to organize a volunteer activity by helping to clean up Watpa Lolland, a Thai temple which is the spiritual center of the Thai community on the Lolland Island, South of Copenhagen, together with the Thai community on the occasion of “The Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua Attaining the Same Age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I)” 2025.
The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. reiterated the importance of the auspicious occasion in which King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua attained the same age, 26,469 days, as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great, the first king of the Chakri dynasty, on 14 January 2025, and that the Thai Government held ceremonies to celebrate this auspicious occasion in Thailand.
In addition, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. and the delegation also offered food and alms to the monk as a merit making to celebrate such auspicious occasion and used this opportunity to meet and talk with the Thai community to inquire about their wellbeing and living conditions.
