On 20 August 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, hosted dinner for ASEAN Ambassadors in Denmark namely Ambassador of the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, together with diplomats and spouses from the ASEAN Embassies in Denmark at the Thai Ambassador's Residence.

The event was to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN which was established by the Bangkok Declaration on 8 August 1967 to promote cooperation among its members in fostering economic growth, social progress, and cultural development in the region. Currently, ASEAN has a population of approximately 670 million people and is the fifth largest economy in the world with a combined GDP over 3.6 trillion USD, or 3.6 % of global GDP.

The celebration of ASEAN Day highlights the unity and close collaboration among ASEAN Embassies in Denmark which have been working together through the ASEAN Committee in Copenhagen (ACC) to promote cooperation and good relations between ASEAN and Denmark.
