On 15 February 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Lithuania with residence in Copenhagen, attended the President of the Republic of Lithuania’s annual meeting 2024 with foreign diplomatic corps at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius.

 

During the reception H.E. the Ambassador extended New Year wishes to the President on behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand and informed the President about the activities that were organized in September 2023 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Lithuania which included the Unveiling of the Tablet of the Constitution of the Republic of Užupis in Thai language in Vilnius and the co-organizing of the “Thai Night” with Radisson Collection Astorija Hotel, Vilnius. The Ambassador also informed the President about the Thai government's proactive economic diplomacy and its readiness to expand cooperation with Lithuania. In addition, Thailand will also host the 4th Political Consultation between Thailand and Lithuania in Bangkok in June this year, which will be a good opportunity for both sides to strengthen relations and promote cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.
