On 8 February 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark and Mr. Theerakun Niyom, her spouse, hosted a dinner for H.E. Mr. Christian Schønau, Lord Chamberlain, Mr. Morten Roland Hansen, Private Secretary to His Majesty King Frederik X, and Ms. Henriette Ellermann Kingombe, Private Secretary to Her Majesty Queen Mary of Denmark, at the Ambassador’s Residence. The dinner was also attended by Ms. Tanja Kjærsgaard, spouse of Mr. Christian Schønau, Mrs. Charlotte Ohlsen, spouse of Mr. Morten Hansen, Mr. Jean Ellermann Kingombe, Permanent Under-Secretary of State at Prime Minister's Office of Denmark and spouse of Ms. Henriette Ellermann Kingombe, Mrs. Birgitte Ahnfeldt-Mollerup, Secretary to the Chief of the Court, and Ms. Ulla Birkmann, former secretary of a number of Thai Ambassadors to Denmark, together with diplomats of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador congratulated the Lord Chamberlain and the Private Secretaries on their new positions after the accession to the throne of His Majesty King Frederik X and emphasized a significant role of the Royal Families of the two countries in laying the firm foundation for long-standing relations and close friendship between Thailand and Denmark. The Royal Families have contributed to close cooperations between the two Kingdoms on multitude of areas. The Ambassador also expressed her confidence that the ties between Thailand and Denmark would be further strengthen and elevated into a stronger partnership under the reign of His Majesty King Frederik X, which included an exchange of royal visits from each country in the future.
