On Saturday 23 July 2022, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, and Mr. Theerakun Niyom, her spouse, together with Mr. Teerakarn Savetsila, Consul, Embassy officials, staffs and their families, attended Asalha Puja Day and Buddhist Lent Day ceremony and the appointment ceremony of Phra Khru Rattanapunyakhosol as the Abbot at Wat Buddhaparami Denmark in Skærbæk, a town in southern Jutland. Buddhist activities in the ceremony included praying, making merit, offering alms, Lent candles, rain cloths, and robes to the monks as well as the appointment ceremony of the abbot. On this occasion, the Ambassador presented the Appointment Letter to Phra Khru Rattanapunyakhosol, the abbot, and offered 9 sets of medicines and medical supplies to the abbot and the monks. In addition, the Ambassador also used this opportunity to greet and discuss with the Thai communities who attended the event on their well-being.

On the same occasion, the Embassy also organized a consular mobile service at the temple for the Thai nationals who reside in the areas. The services include passport service, and consultation on other consular matters. Around 60 Thai nationals came to receive the services.  Moreover, the Embassy also provided sets of Thai herbal medicine and antigen test kits (ATK) for those who received the consular services.
