On Saturday 18 May 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, together with Mr. Teerakarn Savetsila, Consul, attended Sawasdee Thai Dansk Forening’s Annual Gathering 2024 in Glesborg. The event was also attended by about 100 members of the Association and their family members, both Thais and Danish. The Ambassador delivered a speech indicated that she was delighted and honored to again be invited and commended the Association for organizing the gathering which provided an ample opportunity for members of the Thai communities in Aarhus, Odense and nearby areas to meet and displayed solidarity. The Ambassador also expressed her appreciation to the Association for providing strong support to the Embassy’s activities and highlighted its role in helping promote Thailand and the strength of the Thai community.

The Ambassador also took this opportunity to encourage the Thai community to organized activities throughout the year to commemorate the 6^th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King of Thailand on 28 August 2024. She invited members of the Thai community to participate in the merit making ceremony and volunteer work to honor His Majesty organized by the Thai Embassy on 20 July 2024 at Wapa Copenhagen in Dragør, near Copenhagen. Furthermore, the Ambassador informed the attendants about the upcoming Thai Festival 2024 at Rådhuspladsen (Copenhagen’s City Hall Square) on 8 June 2024 where everyone can participate.
