On Sunday 22 August 2021, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Denmark, and Mr. Theerakun Niyom, Spouse of the Ambassador, together with officials of the Thai Embassy in Copenhagen attended the 2021 Thai Mother's Day celebration organized by Rakthai Association, at which more than 150 people attended. In the event, Ambassador Sirilak led the officials and members of Rakthai Association to pay respect to Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother in front of her portrait. The ceremony was followed by many activities including the introduction of Rakthai Association, Thai poem reading in remenbrance of mother's grace, Thai local dance by children, and mother bowing ceremony. In the same occasion, Ambassador Sirilak also made her remarks about the importance of the Thai Mother's Day and a cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and Thai community in Denmark, as well as how Thai community and their children can play an important role to promote the good images of Thailand in Denmark.
