Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn conferred books to the Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Odense

On 13 September 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, presented 23 books of Thai translations of fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen which were conferred from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, to Mr. Henrik Harnow, Director of the Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Odense, at the Thai Ambassador's Residence. Afterwards, The Ambassador and Mr. Theerakun Niyom, her spouse, hosted a luncheon for Mr. Harnow and Mrs. Anna Beck Larsen, his spouse, to express appreciation for kind cooperation for the Royal visit to the Museum on 16 July 2024. The books will be displayed at the Museum's international library.
 
Hans Christian Andersen is a Danish author who wrote 156 tales and fairy tales that are well-known all over the world, including The Little Match Girl, The Little Mermaid, The Snow Queen, The Nightingale, and The Ugly Duckling, for example. The Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Odense showcases Andersen’s biography, tales and fairy tales, using modern technology to allow visitors to interact with the author and characters in the fairy tales. There is also an exhibition of Andersen’s 19th-century birthplace and an international library which showcases his fairy tales translated into more than 140 languages.
