เมื่อวันที่ 25 กันยายน 2557 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงโคเปนเฮเกน ร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซีย สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฟิลิปปินส์ และสถานเอกอัครราชทูตเวียดนาม ได้จัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองของอาเซียน ณ  Asia House ในกรุงโคเปนเฮเกน โดยมีสถานเอกอัครราชทูตเวียดนามในฐานะประธานกลุ่มคณะทูตอาเซียนประจำเดนมาร์กเป็นเจ้าภาพหลัก เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองโอกาสการก่อตั้งอาเซียนครบรอบ 47 ปี และประชาสัมพันธ์ให้อาเซียนเป็นที่รู้จักในเดนมาร์ก งานดังกล่าวมีคณะทูต ผู้แทนรัฐบาล ผู้บริหารองค์กรทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน รวมทั้งภาควิชาการและสื่อมวลชนเข้าร่วมกว่า 120 คน โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนที่เข้าร่วมงานได้นำอาหารมาให้บริการผู้เข้าร่วมด้วยอีกด้วย

อาเซียนได้อนุมัติการจัดตั้งคณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงโคเปนเฮเกน (ASEAN Committee in Copenhagen: ACoC) ขึ้น เพื่อเป็นกลไกในการทำงานส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างอาเซียนกับเดนมาร์ก โดยเวียดนามจะทำหน้าที่เป็นประธาน ACoC ไปจนถึงสิ้นปี 2557 และประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนจะหมุนเวียนเข้ารับตำแหน่งประธานเป็นระยะเวลาครั้งละ 6 เดือน ตามลำดับตัวอักษร โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียจะเป็นประธานในช่วง 1 มกราคม – 30 มิถุนายน 2558 และไทยจะเป็นประธานในช่วง 1 กรกฎาคม – 31 ธันวาคม 2558 ตามลำดับ

On 25 September 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen in collaboration with the Embassy of Indonesia, the Embassy of the Philippines and the Embassy of Viet Nam organized the ASEAN Day Reception at the Asia House in Copenhagen to commemorate the 47^th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN as well as to raise profile and awareness of ASEAN in Denmark. Attended guests include dignitaries, representatives from the diplomatic corps, Danish government officials, businessmen, academics and media personnel.

After the proposal of ASEAN Ambassadors in Denmark to establish the ASEAN Committee in Copenhagen (ACoC) to further serve the interest of ASEAN in Denmark through a more permanent and formal institution, the ASEAN Embassies in Denmark have been informed by the ASEAN Secretariat that the ASEAN Member States have given their ad-referendum approval for the formal endorsement of the establishment of the ACoC.

The ACoC chairmanship will be rotated every 6 months with Viet Nam as the current chairman until the end of this year. The Ambassadors of Indonesia and Thailand will chair the ACoC on 1 January – 30 June 2015 and 1 July – 31 December 2015 respectively.
